Converting an Estimate to an Invoice

Turn an accepted estimate into a draft invoice with one click

Once a client has accepted your estimate, you're ready to do the work and get paid. Converting the estimate to an invoice carries all the line items over automatically — no re-entering data.

How to convert

  1. Open the accepted estimate from Estimates
  2. Click Convert to invoice
  3. A new draft invoice is created with all the line items, quantities, and prices from the estimate

The estimate status updates to reflect that it has been converted.

Review and adjust

The new draft invoice is fully editable. Before finalizing, you might want to:

  • Adjust quantities if the actual work differed from the quote
  • Add additional line items for scope that wasn't in the estimate
  • Update the due date
  • Add any project notes

Send the invoice

Once the invoice looks right, finalize and send it as you would any other invoice.

The estimate and invoice remain linked — you can navigate between them from either record.
